EMSL is seeking a Junior Database Administrator (DBA) in Cinnaminson, NJ. This position is responsible for assisting the Senior DBA in maintaining EMSL’s database security, performance, report customization, and quality control.  The Junior DBA will be heavily involved in the planning and development of Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes.  Other tasks the Junior DBA will be involved in are troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users and ensuring all data is retrievable in an emergency.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
Develop and implement ETL processes between databases and various sources of data 
Monitor performance in order to provide fast responses to front-end users
Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
Control access permissions and privileges
Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and data definitions
Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
Carry out capacity planning
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, related field or equivalent working experience preferred
Two to Three  years’ experience with database administration
Experience with WhereScape RED or similar ETL software
Proficiency with Transact SQL
Attention to detail
Outstanding organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication 

Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
