Position Summary: Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and experienced Food Quality and Safety professional to serve as our Quality Supervisor. Ensure product quality by raw, finished environmental and physical testing. To work with other supervisors/managers to ensure the Safety and Quality of our products and our facility. This includes oversight and monitoring of all quality and sanitation programs. Work with the Quality Manager to train, develop, and lead the quality team.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary will be dependent on experience, the range will be $65,000 to $75,000. Bongards' offers a full range of benefits including: health, vision, dental, 401 K, and a profit sharing program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Product Release and finished product COA creation.
Back up for the Quality Manager on Scheduling and Timecards
COA review - ingredients and chemicals
GMP inspections
Glass and Brittle Plastic Inspections
Training program Development and Implementation
Supplier/Ingredient Monitoring
Master Sanitation Program review and monitoring.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a 2 year AAS degree in science or a related field, or 2 years related work experience. BS degree in science field or dairy science preferred.
Minimum of 2 years quality experience.
Previous supervisory experience required.
Knowledge of SQF, Food Safety Program or similar system helpful.
Exceptional verbal and written skills.
Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft office products.
Working Conditions:
Office in a food manufacturing environment, some office setting.
Extended periods of sitting, standing and typing on a computer is required.
Light lifting may be required, up to 50 pounds.
Willing to work occasional evenings or weekends as business needs require.
