Summary:
Responsible for the operation of the plant as directed by supervision and for the coordination of the activities relating to safety, maintenance and production of the processing operation
** This role is 1st Shift with a schedule of Monday - Saturday **
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ensure all safety guidelines are followed.
Operate the plant within the general operating and production guidelines for the plant as determined by management.
Operate within the general mining plan.
Record and maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
Oversee the general maintenance of the plant in the areas including:
Conveyor inspection and maintenance
Sump inspection and maintenance
Screen inspection and maintenance
Electrical needs (including lighting)
Crusher inspection and maintenance
Water pump inspection and maintenance
Greasing and lubrication
Report all quality issues to supervisor
Oversee appearance and housekeeping of the plant and grounds area.
Report all maintenance issues to the maintenance manager.
Report all mining issues directly to Plant Manager.
Call for help if/when needed (24/7).
Serve as after hours contact person for the plant.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Experience with processing plant operations
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, memorandums, safety and hazard labels, etc.
Have corrected eyesight, color vision, depth perception, hearing and balance acceptable for safe operation of mobile equipment.
Ability to climb stairs.
General computer skills
Knowledge of all related safety guidelines and procedures.
General mechanical skills.
