The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden-Delkenheim Abbott GmbH location.


Your role:

  • Service Contact for customers, country offices and sales organizations for 5 divisions of Blood Diagnostic and Diabetes Business within dedicated countries in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America
  • Provide continuously high-quality customer service in terms of order handling, processing and shipment organization for specified territory
  • Coordination of air, truck and ocean shipments with internal departments and external partners
  • Preparation of all necessary documentation from shipping documents, certificates or legalized documents, etc.
  • Communication and coordination with external 3rd party service providers (e.g. forwarders, governmental entities, inspection companies, embassies, etc.)
  • Handling of export finance tools such as letter of credits, bank guarantees etc.
  • Ensure legal export requirements are met such as export restrictions, embargo laws as well as internal policies and procedures
  • After sales support, complaint handling, exception handling and reporting
  • Project Support

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or business administration or vocational qualification with equivalent knowledge acquired through relevant professional experience
  • Work experience in export business and curiosity in international business relations
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset with can-do mentality and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, planning and decision-making skills to coordinate cross-functional processes
  • Agile mindset with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced global environment
  • System aptitude and SAP knowledge preferred
  • Firm logistical forwarder knowledge to handle all areas of transportation
  • Basic knowledge on tax, customs, trade requirements and export finance tools (e.g. letter of credit)
  • Fluent communication skills in English (verbal & written); German desirable
  • Proficient in MS Office applications in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated Team Player
