JOB REQUIREMENTS: RN - Pre/Post Surgery - 38333
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: 90% FTE, Monday - Friday, no weekends,
holidays, on-call or overnights. Hours between 5:30am - 9:00pm. Hours
may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will be
working at the Madison Surgery Center in Madison, WI. We are seeking a
Registered Nurse - Pre/Post/PACU to: \* Deliver comprehensive
perioperative and peri anesthesia care across several surgical
specialties, including ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Hand, Foot, Ortho (scopes),
General, and some GYN. \* Provide comprehensive care for surgical
patients by preparing them for surgery. This includes Perioperative
Checklists, IV placement and Medication Administration. \* Provide care
in the Outpatient PACU. Critical care experience preferred. \* Develop a
therapeutic relationship to enable the patient and family to verbalize
understanding of post-surgical care and discharge teaching. At UW

Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Work Experience \* 6
months of RN experience Required \* Experience working pre/post
operatively with varied surgical patient populations Preferred \*
Emergency nursing, critical care, medical/surgical, or ambulatory
surgery center experience Preferred \* Moderate sedation and cardiac
monitoring experience Preferred \* 1 year or more of RN experience
Preferred Licenses & Certifications \* Licensed as a Registered Nurse
(RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as
eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required \* Basic
