Practice Manager, Pulaski
Description

To provide direct oversight of the day-to-day business operations within the health center.


Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Knowledge in all aspects of the practice management system, including training and monitoring for compliance and timely follow-up
  2. Oversee clerical schedule to ensure adequate department coverage
  3. Have flexibility to perform and provide coverage within the department when needed
  4. Dissemination of any pertinent updates to clerical staff
  5. Facilitate staff monthly meetings and update action register
  6. Must review and respond to emails in a timely manner
  7. Review and approve employee electronic time cards
  8. Reconciliation and deposit of daily monies collected
  9. Prepare and submit orders for medical and business supplies within the center
  10. Process NYS Disability and Attorney medical records requests
  11. Work with Billing office to facilitate the collection of patient documents
  12. Perform chart reviews as requested and report findings/trends
  13. Address and resolve patient concerns within the center documenting task
  14. Participate in employee recruitment and interview process
  15. Address and resolve employee concerns, communicate resolution to supervisor
  16. Reference and adhere to the Employee Handbook
  17. Complete and administer performance evaluations
  18. Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
  19. Oversee daily processes to ensure that duties are carried out as written in organizational policies
  20. Oversight and management of provider schedules and templates
  21. Facilitate completion of the various medical record audits
  22. To engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives, including participating as part of the Clinical Care Team
  23. Other duties and responsibilities as may be requested by your supervisor or management


Requirements

Knowledge/Education Requirements:

  • Associates Degree preferred, combination of experience and High school diploma/GED
  • Supervisory/management experience required
  • A background in medical record procedures
  • Verbal and written communication skills, office applications needed
  • Demonstrate proper judgment and decision making skills
  • Comply with the organizations code of conduct, safety rules and adheres to all company policies
  • Carry out job responsibilities in an ethical, effective and professional manner
  • Ability to cooperate, work, and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, nurse managers and management
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and electronic medical record system
  • Accept direction from providers and management; possess the ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situations; must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with both patients and co-workers
  • Must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position


Salary Description
Starts at $50,000.00/yr + DOE
