DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, and 5-10 years hands-on experience in a similar position or discipline
* 5+ years programming CNC machine tools
* 2 & 4 axis lathes
* 3 & 4 axis machining centers
* Part probe inspection programming
* 5+ years fixture & tooling design experience – Conceptualize, Design, & Improve
* Work with internal & external resources to have fixtures & tooling built, tested, & implemented
* Extensive knowledge of CNC machine tools – Operations & Controls
* Must know how to operator CNC equipment, setup jobs, set tooling, & calibrate work offsets
* Must be able to effectively operate & interact with machine tool controls
* Okuma, Fanuc controls preferred
* 5+ years CAD/CAM software experience
* Creo & EdgeCAM preferred
* Strong verbal, written, analytical, & project management skills - Effectively managing resources to achieve planned results
* Excellent interpersonal skills & must be able to work with diverse groups of people

Preferred Experience/skills
* Manufacturing Engineering:
* LEAN (5s, Kaizen, etc…), Quality Management Tools & Methods (Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, DMAIC, Continuous Improvement, Gage R&R, SPC, Process Capability, Six Sigma, etc…)
* Welding, Foundry Practices
* SAP, ERP/MRP, Costing System, Demand Planning & Inventory Management
* Strong proficiency skills with Microsoft Office
* 3+ years experience in a union environment
* 3+ years Controls Engineering:
* Robotic process development & programming experience - Troubleshoot robotic issues, make continuous improvements to existing cells, & integrating new robotics into a cell
o Fanuc & ABB robot preferred
* PLC, HMI, & MES system & programming experience - Ability to troubleshoot, edit / improve, & create new programs
* PLC & HMI - Allen Bradley preferred
* MES - AVEVA (Wonderware) preferred
