STUDENT HELPER
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This is part-time work assigned to County secondary school students and adults, allowing for knowledge and practical experience to be gained in a work environment, but also assisting other students, in school district settings. Work is generally performed under close supervision.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)
The Duties assigned will vary from school district to school district. Assignments will be made to give the students an opportunity to learn good work habits in a work setting and to learn about the responsibilities, problems and the way to bring about a solution in the area in which they are assigned.
FULL PERFORMANCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to get along well with others, tact and courtesy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The only requirement is that the incumbent be enrolled in or have graduated from a secondary school.
