Infrastructure & Capital Projects, Change Manager, Data Center Construction, ANS
THE WORK:
- You'll develop and implement change management frameworks and strategies tailored to the unique requirements of data center construction projects. Define and document change management processes, including approval workflows, roles, and responsibilities specific to the owner’s perspective.
- You'll coordinate the submission, review, and approval of change requests across all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and owner oversight. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies during the change process.
- You'll analyze the impact of proposed changes on project scope, cost, schedule, and resources from the owner’s perspective. Conduct detailed impact analyses for proposed changes, identifying potential risks, benefits, and trade-offs critical to owner decision-making.
- You'll identify risks associated with changes and develop mitigation strategies to minimize negative impacts on the owner’s project objectives. Work closely with project managers, cost managers, schedulers, and contractors to assess and mitigate risks associated with changes, prioritizing owner interests.
- You'll facilitate communication between the owner, contractors, and internal teams to ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned on change implications. Organize workshops or meetings to address change-related challenges and promote collaboration aligned with owner expectations. Address resistance to changes proactively by engaging stakeholders and providing solutions that align with owner priorities.
- You'll maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all change management activities for owner review and future reference including a comprehensive change log to track all approved and pending change requests, enabling clear reporting to the owner.
- You'll prepare and deliver change management reports summarizing the status, progress, and outcomes of change requests to owner leadership and provide data-driven recommendations to the owner regarding the approval, modification, or rejection of changes.
- You'll monitor the implementation of approved changes, ensuring compliance with the owner’s goals and project standards.
- You'll establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of change management activities, ensuring alignment with owner priorities. Evaluate the effectiveness of the change management process and implement improvements to align with industry best practices and owner expectations.
- You'll create and manage change management documentation to support audits and lessons learned initiatives. Develop lessons learned reports, highlighting successful practices and areas for growth to enhance future project outcomes.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
- With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
$90,000 - $155,000 a year
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related field, OR equivalent relevant experience
- 8+ years of experience in change management or a similar role, preferably within construction or mission-critical data center projects
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
- Ability to travel or relocate to project locations
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project controls, and contract management, with an emphasis on owner representation
- Proficiency in change management software tools and project management platforms (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess the impact of changes and develop solutions aligned with owner objectives
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and influence diverse stakeholders effectively
- Certification in change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) or project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus
- Experience working in high-stakes, fast-paced construction environments
