Your Role and Responsibilities
The Project Manager is responsible for successful delivery of client’s System Integration and Migration / Modernization client commitments. Individuals within this specialty and skill set manage client engagements, ensuring delivery of solutions for complex IT, business and client requirements, preferably with cloud experience.
This specialty is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a solution to the client with overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management. They are responsible for managing all project resources, including Global Delivery resources, vendors and subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client. They provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the client.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Manage client expectations and aligning to strategic goals, especially in challenging environments
- Demonstrate strong project management skills to ensure that project objectives and goals are met within contractual obligation
- Support the financial performance of assigned business areas.
- Provide timely reports and communicate on project status
- Enforce compliance of project management methodology and deliverables
- Facilitate discussions, conduct meetings and drive issues to closure
- Drive innovation, team cohesiveness within the teams
- Able to quickly comprehend requirements and transform them into project tasks/deliverables
- Able to multi-task and support multiple priorities / multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Drive compliance for both the delivery organisation and the client organisation
- Oversee month-end closing activities, reconciliations and audit findings for assigned areas of responsibility
- Communicate project plans and routine updates on project status and issues/risks to the project team, stakeholders and management utilizing project planning tools such as MS Project and other project tracking utilities.
- Establish effective professional working relationships
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates
- Manage vendor relationships – manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships
- Create a variety of good documentations and communications
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Require flexibility on non-standard working hours depending on projects/demands
- Proven track record of managed delivery with consistent timeliness and good quality outcomes
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- A Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering, IT or equivalent
- Preferably PMP or CITPM certified
- Have at least five (5) years’ experience in project management in IT-related fields (e.g., Java Enterprise Edition (EE) development)
- Track records of managing successtul delivery and implementation / maintenance of IT applications/products of equivalent value and nature using Agile methodology.
- Experience in defence or public sector projects would be an advantage.
- Project management experience in custom applications development project
- Possess strong communications and analytical skills
- Strong experience in charge of the start to finish delivery of projects
- Accountable for delivery of projects of high quality, within the budget and agreed timeline
- Plan and manage project scope, schedules and resources on the project
- Identify, assess and manage the risks of the project and take appropriate actions
- Effectively manage the diverse team of stakeholders
