Job Description:
Need 5 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work in Melrose, MN.
From: 03/19/2024 to 12/30/2024
Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Hours may vary at different times during the crop season.
All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Irrigate soil, using portable pipes or ditch systems, and maintain ditches or pipes and pumps. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to storage facilities. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting and repetitive movements are required. No HS Diploma or GED is required.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
