POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Secretary/2^nd Deputy

The position serves the professional staff of the Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service. Programs are developed in Agriculture, Health and Human Sciences, Food and Nutrition, and 4-H Youth Development.

Salary: $31,103 + County Benefits

Duties include:

Typing, producing correspondence, newsletters, and social media.
Receptionist responsibilities.

A high school diploma and two years of clerical experience is required. Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.

Candidates should possess excellent secretarial skills such as typing at a minimum of 60 wpm. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Knowledge and experience with Outlook (both calendar and email), and Microsoft Office. Position also requires willingness to learn new software systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills needed.

Must be able to meet deadlines while dealing with interruptions and producing accurate and detailed results. Employees represent the University and county with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy at all times. Essential to possess good organizational skills, prioritize work, and maintain confidentiality. Customer service focus essential.
