POSITION SUMMARY:
The warehouse assistant/driver is responsible for receiving and storing incoming shipments, assessing stock for damages, general cleaning and maintenance around the yard.
A successful warehouse assistant/driver is self-motivated, organized and detail oriented. You should be able to work in a team environment while also having the ability to work unsupervised.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving incoming deliveries.
Clean and maintain yard area and warehouse.
Inventory management.
Organizing warehouse space.
Work outside in all types of weather.
Staging of materials for work crews.
Loading and unloading work trucks.
Delivery of materials to work crews.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Obtaining a Class A CDL is preferred
Ability to proficiently run forklift.
Mechanical aptitude.
Driver's license.
DOT Card preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds
Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
