***VETERANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY*** Responsibilities: - Leads a team of experienced food service managers while providing hands-on management of WSFSSH food service operations. - Perform audits of safety, sanitation, food quality, meal delivery at point of service, a per DOH standards to optimize financial and operational performance. - Ensures compliance with all contracts and DOH requirements related to kitchen cleanliness and food safety. - Participates in creating the budgets and monitoring the budget compliance of the WSFSSH meal program. - Oversees the ordering and storage of food in the absence of the head cook or food service manager. - Oversees all vendor relations (pricing, delivery, quality checks). Qualifications: - H.S. Diploma or GED required. - BA preferred, or a certificate of completion from an accredited Culinary Institution. - At least 7 years of experience managing a kitchen. - NYC Food protection certification. - Must be able to travel between multiple sites daily. (Manhattan and Bronx).
