Description

The Care Coordinator will support the clinic and physician care team by providing administrative and patient care services.
*Must have experience with surgery scheduling
This is a full-time position working M-F from 8:30 am - 5 pm out of the Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates, St. Paul location. Some travel to Maplewood, Coon Rapids, and other locations may be needed in order to support back-up coverage needs.
A $2,000.00 sign-on bonus will be offered; $500.00 to be paid out on the pay period after completing 3 months, $500.00 to be paid out on the pay period after completing 6 months, and $1,000.00 to be paid out on the pay period after completing 12 months of employment. The sign-on bonus requires a 12-month commitment. Internal applicants are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.
Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions:
Schedule patient surgeries, colonoscopies, diagnostic tests and appointments
Coordinate with other specialty groups to schedule complex surgical cases
Utilize strong communication, problem solving skills and attention to detail to maximize physician schedule for efficiency
Provide follow up to patient inquiries, contacting provider as necessary
Obtain authorization requirements per insurance guidelines
Coordinate the transmission and acquisition of patient records
Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma/GED or equivalent
1-3 years recent experience scheduling surgical procedures in a clinic/hospital or out-patient surgery center
Superior communication skills (verbal and written) & organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities & facilitate efficient patient/workflow within the clinic.
Experience with NextGen EMR a plus!
Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology & medical clinic flow strongly preferred

Work in the clinic during business hours
Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Understand and execute a variety of instructions
Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
Work independently with minimal supervision
Travel to other work locations, if required
