Job Corps:At Job Corps, we're dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young individuals. Our government-funded, no-cost education and vocational training program, administered by the U.S. Department of Labor, aims to empower socioeconomically disadvantaged youth between the ages of 16-24. We provide them with the tools they need to succeed in both their careers and personal lives.
Position: Dormitory Supervisor
Location: 7175 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206
Reports to: Social Development Director

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and counsel students in assigned dormitory, ensuring their safety, well-being, and adherence to center guidelines
Serve as the Career Success Team (CST) leader for the dormitory, providing leadership and guidance to resident advisors
Maintain order and discipline in the dormitory while promoting self-discipline and awareness of others
Schedule and supervise clean-up and repair assignments to ensure a safe and healthy living environment
Assist students in handling special problems and conduct dormitory meetings to address concerns and plan activities
Facilitate prompt assistance to students in case of injury, illness, or emotional trauma, following center protocols
Cultivate a positive climate free of harassment and intimidation, promoting a safe and respectful environment for all
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate of Arts degree preferred, or two (2) years of work-related experience
One year of experience in dormitory management or working with at-risk youth preferred
Previous Job Corps experience is a plus
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred
Additional Requirements:
Ability to effectively relate to and communicate with disadvantaged youth
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid/AED certification
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Knowledge of Education and Career Technical Training programs, as well as local social service resources
Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students
