Required Skills:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

-Experienced welder.
-Skilled blue print reader.
-Ability to use tools ranging from common hand and power tools including grinders and cut off wheels to measuring instruments such as a tape measure and gauges.
-Computer skills as they pertain to this job including but not limited to: Microsoft Office
-Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written forms.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
-Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

-High School degree, diploma or a general education degree (GED);
-Certificate or degree in welding;
-1 – 2 years robotic welding experience;
-3 plus years of MIG and TIG welding experience;
-Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

-Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on robotic welder as required
-Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface table and hand tools.
-Observes robotic welder while operating to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions.
-Develops robotic path and motion to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
-Operates welding robot on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings and programmed control data.
-Performs basic MIG and TIG welding techniques as needed.
-Assist engineering in the design and configuration of parts to utilize the robotic welder.
-Reads job specifications (e.g. blueprints, quality control plans and/or traveler notes) to determine type of welding and material requirements.
-Examines finished work pieces to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans and/or traveler notes using instruments such as gauges.
-Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the Production Supervisor.
-Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and machines.
-Performs work in accordance with established operational standards and processes.
-Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
