Description
This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills. Your responsibilities will include functional testing of new features on visionOS, developer tools, 3D content authoring tools like Reality Composer, design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, prioritizing and escalating critical bugs, and integration testing across Apple platforms. You will be responsible for setting the bar high within your own areas of expertise and frequently collaborating with team members beyond your areas to ensure we ship the superb end-to-end experiences necessary for robust and amazing products. As a cross-functional advocate for quality, you’ll work closely with our development and automation engineers, developing test plans and user studies, bug triaging, and supporting design reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience and at least 2 years of experience of work experience in the following areas below.
- Crafting, maintaining and executing test plans.
- Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools
- Able to make consistently good judgment calls on which issues can be self-resolved, and which require escalation
- Adept at writing actionable bug reports using software like Bugzilla and Jira.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and provide detailed debug information for defects to ensure speedy resolution
- Experience working with complex software stacks with many software and hardware components. Examples: Smartphones, PCs, game engines & consoles, HMDs
- Proficiency with scripting languages (i.e. Python or bash)

- Experience with testing consumer electronics, mobile applications and experiences
- Proficiency with Apple computing technologies like iOS, visionOS beta, Xcode & Swift fundamentals
- Ability to design user-studies and perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis
- Very comfortable sharing considered opinions, taking the time to get details right, and staying true to the bigger picture
- MS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
