Family Support Advocate/Agency With Choice Type: Full Time
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week; Mon-Fri Location: North Adams, MA 01247

Are you looking for rewarding work with adults with different abilities in the community? As an Agency with Choice Family Support Advocate you will provide help with activities of daily living (eating and going out into the community) with socialization and engagement as priorities. Your day may include time spent with the member at one of the UCP drop in centers, in the community, at the home or any other location that both the member and family deem appropriate as you help the member navigate areas of importance such as hobbies, activities or interests in addition to providing guidance around needed life skills. Some afternoon and evening hours are required.
Requirements
At least 18 years old with a High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of human service work experience or six months work experience in a human service field with life experience with individuals with disabilities. Experience, training with Autism is preferred.
Comfortable with computer applications for case notes; communicate by email, Zoom, Microsoft 365/Teams, etc.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Be able to handle emergency situations
Have certification in CPR/First Aid or ability to be certified
Valid driver¿s license, acceptable driving record, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance
CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Check
