Role Overview 

BGB Group is seeking a Marketing Automation Associate to support the execution, optimization, and analysis of marketing automation campaigns across omnichannel platforms. This role will be responsible for implementing automated workflows, managing audience segmentation, and ensuring seamless integration between marketing automation tools and CRM systems. 

The Marketing Automation Associate will work closely with the strategy, content, analytics, and digital teams to enhance personalization, engagement, and efficiency in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, and a passion for data-driven marketing strategies. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Marketing Automation Execution 

  • Assist in the setup, execution, and optimization of email, SMS, and multi-touch nurture campaigns. 
  • Build and maintain automated workflows, audience segmentation rules, and lead scoring models. 
  • Support the configuration and maintenance of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot). 
  • Ensure campaign accuracy, proper tracking, and seamless lead handoff to sales teams via CRM integration. 

Data Management & Audience Targeting 

  • Manage data hygiene, segmentation, and personalization strategies within the marketing automation system. 
  • Support A/B testing, campaign performance tracking, and optimization recommendations. 
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and other pharmaceutical industry regulations related to marketing data and automation. 

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support 

  • Work closely with content strategists, creative teams, and analytics teams to ensure high-quality campaign execution. 
  • Assist in developing automation best practices, training materials, and documentation for internal teams. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot email deliverability, workflow functionality, and automation issues. 

Performance Analysis & Optimization 

  • Track key performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversions, lead progression) to measure effectiveness. 
  • Analyze automation performance data to recommend improvements and enhance ROI. 
  • Provide reporting and insights to support data-driven decision-making. 

 

Qualifications & Skills 

Experience 

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing automation, CRM integration, or digital marketing. 
  • Experience working in healthcare, pharma, or a regulated industry is a plus. 
  • Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Pardot). 

Technical & Functional Skills 

  • Strong understanding of email marketing, lead nurturing, and audience segmentation. 
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Veeva CRM) and data management best practices. 
  • Experience with basic HTML/CSS for email template customization is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau), and campaign reporting. 

Soft Skills & Leadership 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. 
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

Salary Range: $65,000- $95,000

The salary range provided is for the Kansas City, MO hybrid position, which requires occasional in-office presence, and represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. For candidates in other locations, salary will be adjusted to reflect local market rates. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need. Salary is only one component of the total rewards package offered at BGB Group.
