The NYU Langone Department of Orthopedic Surgery in New York City, NY is seeking an outstanding scientist with expertise in Musculoskeletal Biology and Regenerative Medicine.
Expectations for the successful scientist include leadership of a nationally-recognized independent musculoskeletal/regenerative medicine research laboratory. The ideal candidate will engage directly with numerous clinicians and scientists within the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and with other investigators in relevant research centers and departments across the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The successful candidate will also participate in Department-led research educational and training programs, and may have a track record of entrepreneurship and technology commercialization. The successful candidate is expected to participate in the Department’s research advisory committee and must demonstrate commitment to an inclusive and collaborative culture and values-driven leadership.

We offer a highly competitive compensation package with sustained intramural funding, outstanding laboratory facilities, capital equipment funding, technical and computational resources, and exceptional benefits.The position provides a generous start up package of operating and capital funds. In addition, NYU Grossman School of Medicine provides an on-going annual salary, travel allowance, and benefits package.
Job Posting Range: $184,500 – $235,000
The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
The candidate will have a Ph.D., M.D, or M.D./Ph.D degree with a track record of success in extramural funding, publications, and collaboration with clinicians. Appointment and academic rank will be determined based on the applicant’s qualifications.
