Job Description
Through written and visual content, as well as possible in-person interactions, the Technology Transformation Specialist will serve as an ambassador for ITS by educating the University community on the effective use of available technology resources, with specific focus on the Microsoft Office 365 platform, secure data management, and generative AI tools like CoPilot and ChatGPT. The position will collaborate with departments across campus to develop, document and champion technology solutions that enhance productivity, facilitate collaboration and create new possibilities.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in technical field with two (2+) plus years’ experience.
  • Proven experience in implementing generative AI solutions and managing cloud tools like OneDrive and Teams.
  • Strong knowledge of data security and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A commitment to staying current with technological advancements.

Responsibilities
Generative AI Integration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement generative AI solutions that drive innovation within the organization.
  • Train and educate staff on how to leverage AI tools effectively to optimize productivity.
Office Technology Productivity:
  • Design and implement solutions to streamline workflows, reduce redundancy, and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Safeguard sensitive information and promote data privacy with best practice recommendations.

Documentation and Training:
  •  Develop user guides and documentation for AI and cloud services.
  • Create training collateral to educate staff on best practices and efficient use of technology tools.
Stay Informed:
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in generative AI, cloud technology, and IT best practices.
  • Make recommendations for adopting new technologies that can benefit the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
