Edwards Lifesciences Indirect Planner/Buyer in Limerick Plant, Ireland

The Position: Responsible for all elements of Indirect Supplier Procurement, Planning and Supplier Management.
How Will You Make An Impact?
Manage Consumables Program for the site including:
Managing our Partner Supplier
Ensuring continuity of supply to agreed metrics
Managing Inventory targets and plan material requirements
Conducting monthly meeting review and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)
Managing cost metrics with Operations and Finance
Review usage and demand data and manage overall usage model
Chemical Supplier Management (including all direct (BOM) chemicals), including forecasting usage, placing PO’s with supplier, Supplier monthly meetings and QBRs.
Generate PO using system (e.g., JDE, Coupa) for all Indirect Commodities
Creation of reports of key performance indicators and identify opportunities for potential report automation and process improvements
Establish and maintain inventory targets
Supporting New Product Introduction for all Indirect requirements, ensure dual sourcing strategy supported for optimal business continuity
Liaise with the warehouse team for shipping and receiving of material with some level of complexity
Ensure shipment of materials by applying knowledge of import and export laws and regulations
Expediting purchase orders as required. Includes expediting material from the receiving dock though receiving inspection, to production stores
Broad understanding of Indirect Procurement, including RFQ process, sourcing, contracts, price negotiations, managing suppliers, cost reduction initiatives
Creating and approving POs and Requisitions on ERP system (i.e. Coupa, JDE) and New Supplier Set up
Review contracts and purchase orders for compliance to policy
Maintain Contract database (ECLM) including NDAs, ensuring contract storage in compliance with company policy
Continuous improvement projects
Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership
What You Will Need?
2 years related experience required
Bachelor's Degree in in related field
Experience in purchasing, logistics and/or production control
Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry preferred
What Else We Look For?
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Experience working with source-to-pay or related systems (e.g., Coupa) preferred
Experience MRP and ERP (e.g. JDE) preferred
Direct Procurement and/or Logistics experience preferred but not essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
Good problem-solving, organisational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Solid knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures and guidelines relevant to purchasing material, logistics, and/or production control
Solid knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management programs (e.g., Kanban, Min/Max)
Solid knowledge of market and economic indicators, practices and procurement procedures
Good problem-solving skills
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work in a team environment
Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
