Job Description:
Methodist Hospital is looking to hire a Materials Specialist to join our surgical materials team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Manage the materials inventory and distribution processes for the department.
Work Schedule:
1.0 FTE / Days
0600 - 14:30 (6AM-2:30PM)
8 Hour shifts
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated computer skills (Windows and DOS based programs)
Effective verbal and written communication skills
This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulation and internal policies affecting the employment relationship (including but not limited to FLMA, ADA, discrimination and harassment laws, HIPPA, FDA)
Operating Room Technician (certification preferred)
Medical and surgical terminology
Knowledge surgical supplies and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
High school graduate/GED strongly preferred, or equivalent supply chain experience
Two years of experience in inventory management
