Job Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for directing the daily activities of the warehouse, including labor scheduling, supervision, proper utilization of space, equipment, and manpower. Key responsibilities include: staffing, training, operations, inventory management, implementation of safety, security, housekeeping, and customer service.

A Day In The Life


Supervise activities of employees.Hire, terminate and discipline as necessary.
Warehouse activities includeaccurate storage of materials, parts & finished goods.
Receiving activities include verification of receipts to manifests, packing slips, PO's and accurate recording of receipts.Ensure returned goods are processed timely & accurately.
Process improvements for warehouse operations & provides technical support for SAP distribution related issues & cross-functional testing.
Monitor shortages & damaged goods.
Materials to flow through orderly & accurately.Accurate records show receipts, transfers & issues.
Warehouse equipment maintained to an efficient level of operation.
Develop & utilize methods to meet schedules through efficient assignment of staff & equipment. Recommend changes to reduce costs, errors and time involved.
Inventory accuracy through cycle count program.
Safety rules followed, safety programs maintained, equipment is safe.
Other duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?


Bachelor's degree in Business or logistics preferred, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or comparable job experience.
A minimum of (5) years of distribution experience in warehousing, shipping and receiving processes, procedures and systems.
Computer skills including: Intermediate skills in MS Excelsuch as creating graphs and charts.Intermediate skills in MS Word such as using tables, columns and breaks, graphics, fields, headers and footers, working with margins, page orientation, and spelling/grammar.Intermediate skills in MS Power Point.
Ideal candidate will have two or more years of user experience in SAP
Working knowledge of the distribution industry including industrial equipment operation, picking, packing, and receiving put-away methodologies.
Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
Material handling experience required.
Experience with Lean methodologies a plus.
