This position is responsible to provide technical and administrative support to insure operations run efficiently for all information and communication systems within the Information Technology structure
Minimum Qualifications:
1.Four year degree from an accredited university or equivalent preferred 2.1-2 years computer repair 3.Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.

Duties & Responsibilities
1.Investigate and resolve computer and hardware problems of users. 2.Receive calls from users having problems using computer software and hardware or inquiring how to use specific operating systems. 3.Talk to users to learn procedures followed and source of error. 4.Answer questions, applying knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures. 5.Assist with maintenance and support the companies technology infrastructure 6.Support user accounts including modification, addition or deletion 7.Provide system security including file security, and software/hardware 8.Insure printing environment is performing to user expectations 9.Insure timelines of hardware upgrades, maintenance, repairs and coordination of outside vendor repair 10.Insure timeliness of software installation, upgrades, maintenance and licensing 11.Produce network activity setup and procedure documentation 12.Monitor system requirements and conduct preventative maintenance 13.Maintain and support hardware systems including servers, PC's, network equipment, communication equipment and peripherals 14.Monitor equipment performance, document procedures and problems, coordinate with outside repair vendor or repair equipment and follow -up on hardware maintenance as needed 15.Keep up software and hardware registration and inventory to provide upgrades as necessary and insure appropriate security levels are maintained 16.Coordinate MN DOT equipment requirements 17.Assist in the process for WAN requirements and maintenance 18.Provide support and assistance with telephone and cellular related issues 19.Assist with upgrades, repair or coordinate repair of fax, copier and other communication devices 20.Provide software support for operating systems, office applications and other specialty applications 21.Procure all IT equipment 22.Answer questions about the usability of various - mobile plants software packages 23.Coordinate or conduct installation and testing procedures as appropriate 24.Insure effective and efficient operation of telecommunications systems 25.Monitor and coordinate repairs of either hardware or software support systems 26.Insure policies & procedures are maintained and followed 27.Coordinate operations with Knife River and MDUR IT departments 28.Assist North Central Regional companies with data & software support 29.Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with difficult people under high stress situations. Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others. 30.Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisors 31.Ensure company safety, OSHA safety and environmental regulation compliance 32.Performs other duties as assigned.
