Weld County Sheriff's Office is seeking an Animal Control Officer.
Animal/Code Enforcement Officer is an entry level position that enforces
Weld County Ordinances pertaining to failure to control animals,
littering, and excessive noise. Officers respond to animal, littering,
noise and dumping complaints; capture and transport animals; search
through debris for evidence; investigate ordinance violations; issue
citations for animal, noise, and littering violations; document facts in
writing; provide court testimony; work closely with other officers, the
public, the Humane Society, and the Office of Emergency management.
10 hour shifts generally 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
$24.18 - $30.63 per hour plus benefits (see benefits tab).
As an applicant for this position, you should be aware of Senate Bill
19-085, the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The act requires employers to
announce the pay range for job openings. This range encompasses the nine pay
steps available should you receive the position and demonstrate satisfactory
performance over time.
This position is non-exempt from the minimum wage and overtime requirements of
the Fair Labor Standards Act.
