Job Description:
Purpose of Job
This position is responsible for the production and development of quality radiographs, equipment maintenance and quality improvement/quality control according to established policies and procedures. May also perform lab functions as required.
Job Functions

Instructs patients regarding x-ray procedure.

Prepares room, equipment and material as needed for patient procedures.

Communicates with providers, patients and support staff as needed.

Organizes and maintains x-ray supplies and inventory.

Provides maintenance, QC and adjustments of radiology equipment.

Instructs other medical personnel in proper radiological techniques and the maintenance of equipment.

Maintains film filing system including reports and film retrieval.

Maintains knowledge of current and new technology.

Oversee compliance programs and represents clinic Radiology department during surveys/audits

May also perform lab duties as needed.

Demonstrates room and equipmentcleaning process between patients.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education/Work Experience
Graduate of an approved school of radiology
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of x-ray safety for patients and personnel
Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
Knowledge of proper patient positioning and state radiology regulations
Skill in performing quality control and maintaining records
Ability to troubleshoot equipment and technique problems
Ability to multi-task
Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
License/Certifications
AART Board registered
