Job Description

An employer is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join the San Diego team. This candidate will troubleshoot Mechanical, Electrical, plumbing, drywall and other equipment. The employee will help to perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspection and help with minor repairs. The candidate will walk the property overnight and oversee basic touch ups for the property including putting in new light bulbs, troubleshooting basic HVAC, plumbing and if they see anything mechanical or HVAC related issues they will work with the designated building engineer to handle the call. The candidate will need to be strong in general maintenance, have an understanding of basic electrical, and have a strong commercial background repairing equipment. Strong customer service skills are required for this position.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1 - 2 years of experience in working in a Commercial service environment - hotel preferred

- Familiar with commercial Hotel equipment

- Basic commercial electrical knowledge

- Basic commercial plumbing experience - identify issues with pea traps, pipes, etc.

- Comfortable working from 11pm-7:30am

- Training will be 1st shift (8-330pm)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience in a service environment (Hotel, Resort or Restaurant)

- Mechanical experience diagnosing/troubleshooting controls (Siemens and Trane preferred)

- Soldering/Brazing plumbing pipes experience
