POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of the Vending Mechanic First Class is to repair and maintain vending and fountain equipment, both in house and on the street. REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary. Remove old parts and replace with new parts to keep truck inventory current. Plan days calls. Order any special parts not kept in truck inventory. Drive to location, evaluate situation and perform necessary work (may include plumbing, electricity, refrigeration, carpentry). After each call, complete paperwork on handheld device, print reports and end of every day. Perform in house repairs. Fill out paperwork including serial numbers and parts used. Turn in paperwork at the end of every day. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION: Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D and two years vending mechanic experience; OR (2) five years vending mechanic experience. Basic electricity knowledge. Basic plumbing knowledge. Apprentice through Master Grade mechanic; work depends on skills. Must maintain a valid Drivers License. CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement. Related training or certification. Experience working in a team environment. Office equipment including, but not limited to, computer, phone, fax machine, copier and calculator. MS Office including Word and Excel. ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC WORKING CONDITIONS: The following environmental/atmospheric working conditions are commonly, but not always, associated with the performance of this position. The actual working conditions will vary. Exposure to inside and outside weather conditions.
