Required Skills:
Ability to plan and organize. Good written and verbal communication and computer skills. Competent product knowledge and technical skills relating to LP Gas markets. Adequate vision with or without correction for verifying written detail; able to lift and carry 40lbs safely; eye/hand/feet coordination. May be asked to travel, up to 20%, to customer locations. Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Job Description:
Job Purpose:
Responsible for handling daily customer service duties and branch operational tasks as delegated by customer service manager. Performs a variety of tasks related to selling company products to customers daily, Checking orders in the system, following up with manufacturers on projects and deliveries; assisting inside sales with projects.

Environment:
Air conditioned office environment with some work in non-air conditioned warehouse environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Participates in same-day customer service activities including, but not limited to order entry and fulfilling customer requests such as: delivery, pricing, and technical information, supplying product and catalog information, processing return goods, handling complaints, problem solving, and reviewing accounts receivable information.

2. Communicates regularly with Regional Outside Sales reps on current issues and works with Sales Reps on accounts receivable issues including customer maintenance and collecting on delinquent accounts.

3. Training under the direction of the Customer Service Manager will include but is not limited to: GEC products and industry applications, National, State, and Local industry codes, computer functions, personal development programs.

4. Works with customer service manager and/or purchasing department closely providing input and information that will assist in maintaining a balanced inventory.

5. Promotes excellent communications between inside sales, outside sales, accounting, other branches, purchasing, and management.

6. Pull orders, assist with shipping and receiving, maintain communication with customer concerning pending orders and ship times.

7. Participates in structured outgoing call programs in accordance with GEC policy.

8. Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

9. Manages accounts receivable to meet assigned goals.

10. Protects and maintains assigned Company assets.

11. Performs work in accordance with all safety rules and regulations.

12. Attends and participates in trade show and related conventions including setting up and taking down
booths, and staffing the booth as assigned.

13. Conducts duties and represents Company in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

14. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of products and regulations pertaining to our industries.

15. Compiles list of prospective Customers for use as sales leads and develops Customer relationships which support GEC's Business Partner philosophy.

16. Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features

17. All other duties as assigned.
