Your Living Arrangement
As a Live-In Mentor, you will reside in a two-bedroom apartment with an assigned roommate. You’ll have your own private bedroom while sharing a kitchen, living room, and bathroom. This is an excellent opportunity for those who value a communal living environment while reducing their housing expenses. MBTA accesible (Newton Center, green line), parking and on-site laundry are all included for your convenience.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Live-In Mentor, you’ll be a key support system for residents in a collaborative housing environment, helping them build independence and navigate daily life. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overnight Support – Be available for emergencies and ensure residents’ well-being.
- Safety & Security – Ensure residents are safe and the building is secure each night.
- Daily Living Assistance – Help residents with morning and evening routines, including personal hygiene, medication reminders, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
- Weekend Shift Support – Provide relief support at least two weekend days per month to ensure continuity of care for residents.
- Emergency Preparedness – Support residents in emergency situations and foster a secure living environment.
- Life Skills Coaching – Assist with independent living skills such as nutrition, socialization, and self-care.
- Record Keeping – Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions and progress.
