O&G Studio is seeking a full-time experienced Wood Furniture Maker to join our production team. Our ideal candidate is organized, motivated, capable woodworker interested in working to a high standard in a production environment. Must be able to read and execute builds from production drawings for standard and customized tables, case goods, beds, mirrors and accents.
We are looking for candidates who have experience in standard, solid wood furniture construction, building to tight tolerances, enjoy the challenge of continual improvement to efficiency and build execution, and who are eager to take on new challenges with a wide range of production pieces. Requirements:
• - Precise with intuitive sense for dimensions
• - Proficient in all standard making procedures for solid wood furniture and cabinetry
• - Safe and accurate operation of commercial woodworking equipment
• - Organized and collaborative
• - Ability to read and understand production drawings
• - Basic knowledge of wood grain, structure, and selection
Daily Responsibilities include:
• - Maintaining an orderly and tidy workspace
• - Maintaining accurate up-to date work progress
• - Follow through of directives from supervisors and fellow team members
• - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple parts and projects independently with minimal supervision
Furniture Maker reports to: Production Manager for KPI's, work schedule, inventory and material confirmation
