Job Description | The Department of Linguistics invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction of Japanese for the academic year 2024-2025. We are a dynamic linguistics department specializing in Applied Linguistics at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with a solid theoretical foundation. The department prepares students for professional jobs and advanced study in the field and specializes in training instructors in ESL, TESOL, and TEFL at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Linguistics department also offers language programs in Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Swahili. The Assistant Professor of Instruction position consists of the following duties:
This Assistant Professor of Instruction position is a one year, full-time, benefitted position for the academic year 2024-2025 (from August 16, 2024, to May 15, 2025). Depending on departmental requirements, funding availability, and the candidate’s successful performance, there is a possibility of extending the position for additional years.
