ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Theater experience is a plus. Preference is for candidates with prior company management or stage management experience.
• Knowledge of and understanding of services available in the community and how to access them.
• Demonstrated skills communicating effectively and persuasively in oral and written communication both on an interpersonal and group level.
• Proficient computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license with clean safety record. Ability to drive a Guthrie vehicle and transport visiting artists.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly throughout a shift.
• Experience exercising professional discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience and commitment to working with individuals and teams that are mixed across lines of difference such as race, gender-identity, sexual orientation, religion, ability, age, class and immigrant status.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours/days reflective of the dynamic schedule of a theater.

THE POSITION
The Company Management department of the Guthrie supports the artist experience, including but not limited to travel arrangements, housing, health, opening/closing night parties, meet and greets, and general support to Guthrie artists. This position is part-time and non-exempt. Compensation for this position is $17.63 – $21.78 per hour. Hours are reflective of the dynamic schedule of the theater and you will be working 20-25 hours per week, including nights and weekends.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Artist Wellbeing and Hospitality
• Provide services to maintain artists’ wellbeing to create a successful workplace environment.
• Work as a team with the Company Manager to answer or redirect questions and assist artists as needed.
• Create and maintain an information/welcome packet to be given to visiting artists upon arrival.
• Facilitate security badges for artists.
• Arrange for pick up and drop off of visiting artists’ shipped items.
• Lead building tours for visiting artists.
• Set up welcome bags and welcome paperwork/information for the company on the day of first rehearsal.
• Will do grocery shopping runs in conjunction with the Company Manager.
• Maintain humidifiers and cots in dressing rooms.

2. Travel and Housing
• Assist with travel arrangements for Artists to balance convenience for Artists with financial management for the Theater.
• Maintain the travel spreadsheet.
• Assist with housing maintenance and management.
• Track housing supplies.
• Maintain good working relationships with local vendors.

The Guthrie Theater is located in the historic Mill District along the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the largest city in the state, Minneapolis offers a large variety of parks, lakes, great food, festivals, malls and more.
