JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: This role presents an exciting
opportunity for an energetic and detail-oriented individual to
contribute to the success of neuroscience research in a stimulating,
creative laboratory setting. The Research Specialist provides essential
support for all aspects of laboratory operations and scientific output.
This individual will contribute to the oversight of day-to-day
activities, including managing lab resources, maintaining equipment, and
ordering supplies. They will collaborate closely with the principal
investigator and scientists, assisting in experimental design, data
collection, and analysis. The Research Specialist will be responsible
for maintaining accurate records, managing data repositories, and
ensuring compliance with laboratory protocols and safety regulations.

designs, and conducts one or more research projects and organizes daily
operation of projects and specialized research areas to ensure work
meets established objectives under moderate supervision. 20% Conducts
research experiments according to established research protocols with
moderate impact to the project(s). Collects data and monitors test
results 20% Operates, cleans, and maintains organization of research
equipment and research area. Tracks inventory levels and places
replenishment orders 20% Reviews, analyzes, and interprets data and/or
documents results for presentations and/or reporting to internal and
external audiences 20% Participates in the development, interpretation,
and implementation of research methodology and materials 10% Provides
operational guidance on day-to-day activities of unit or program staff
and/or student workers 10% Performs literature reviews and writes
