Required Skills: | • Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products. • Utilize handheld tools such as angle grinders, air tools and drill. • Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool • Inspect your work to ensure the build is in tolerance, meets quality standards • Create specific weldment set-ups • Produce strong, clean welds • Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified • Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Regularly lift 50 pounds • Perform repetitive tasks • Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment • Daily movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls • Exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting |
Preferred Skills: | • 2 years prior experience fabricator/welding, preferably in a manufacturing environment • Experience reading and fabricating from blueprints • Experience with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals • Preferred experience with industrial fabrication equipment; shear, break, band saw, welding, and grinding, etc. • Ability to operate a fork-lift and an overhead crane • Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions • Ability to use measuring tools • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem |

Job Description: |
Our client in Hibbing is looking for an experienced fabricator to construct and manufacture a wide range of specific builds per customers' needs. Taking care to produce strong, clean, polished welds. Follow blueprints, determine material measurements, and take responsibility for fabricating materials, used in later assembly processes. You will be responsible for the quality of your output, so you must be able to perform simple tests to ensue weld quality and tolerance. Hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm Pay depends on qualifications.
