Reliable Temps is searching for a Staff Accountant (Accounts Receivable) for a local manufacturing company! This is a temp-hire opportunity.

Pay: $24-28/hr DOE

Job Characteristics
Maintain AR Masterfile data
Run credit checks, assessing whether a customer is creditworthy and set credit limits for all qualifying customers
Obtain tax exemption certificates to ensure proper filings
Process incoming checks for deposit to bank and post payments to customer accounts
Analyze customer accounts including running aging reports, initiating contact with customers regarding past-due invoices
Research and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner (i.e. short payments, over payments)
Assist Controller in developing cash receipt projections
Calculate commission for sales representatives and resolve any discrepancies
Maintain sales representative database and shipping code database
Support month-end close with AR and cash reconciliations
Support other accounting employees as dependent on work flow

Qualifications/Desired Skills
Associates degree in Accounting or related field
At least 2 years of experience working in AR as well as general ledger exposure
Experience with Macola or general MRP exposure preferred
Knowledge of general ledger and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Experience with collections, order entry and billing procedures
Strong mathematical and accounting background
Experience with Microsoft Office, principally Excel and Outlook
Close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Written and verbal English communication skills
Able to work with a team to accomplish company goals
Willingness to keep and maintain a clean and safe work environment
Adherence to attendance policy
