What you will do:
Pick up shifts as able - this schedule can be flexible!
Organize and prepare food according to the nutrition need of Gundersen Health System patients, employees, customers and other outside groups while maintaining high standards of quality, sanitation and safety.
Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
Clean and sanitized equipment and work area as needed.

Job Profile Summary
Organize and prepare food according to the nutrition need of Gundersen Health System patients, employees, customers and other outside groups while maintaining high standards of quality, sanitation and safety. Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
1. Requisitions, organizing and preparing quality foods according to diet menu.
2. Follows standardized recipes and accurately portions according to daily census and production sheets.
3. Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards. Clean and sanitized equipment and work area as needed.
4. Monitoring, replenishes and records food usage.
5. Labels, dates and store food in a safe manner.
6. Maintains proper food temperature at prep and throughout service.
7. Operates and maintains a variety of standard kitchen equipment; reports faulty equipment as necessary.
8. Provides orientation training of employees as cooks.
9. Ensures compliance with state, local and regulatory agencies as it relates to food.
10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
