As a key member of the Engine Systems team, primary duties for the Engine Systems Engineer will include:

· Support hot-fire testing and operation of the RS-25 and other liquid rocket engines.

· Review of pre-test predictions, post-test data, anomaly investigation, preparation and presentation of engine system and subsystem data review contact and presentation.

· Develop and execute engine system performance analysis models to support system test, vehicle integration, and design development activities.

· Attend test readiness meetings and pre- and post-test data reviews. Prepare and present material to review boards.

· Develop test data assessment computer utilities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the evaluation process.

· Coordinate, develop, and present technical materials related to engine system performance and testing in support of design milestone reviews and anomaly investigations.

· Prepare technical assessments in areas of liquid propulsions system/subsystem sizing and performance.

· Document and maintain test and data analysis processes in written work instructions.

· Participate in relevant trade teams. Identify and pursue resolution of issues.

· Identify and document customer objectives and product requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements:

A degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field is required. A degree from an ABET accredited university is preferred.

Required:

· Familiarity with pump-fed, liquid rocket engine operation either through education or work experience is desired.

· Experience with testing, data acquisition, and data analysis.

· Integration experience at the vehicle or stage level to include technical and systems engineering activities is a plus.

· Exhibited capability to plan and perform systems engineering and analysis tasks independently and as part of a team.
