The Sr. Product Lead, Inventory Strategy will lead innovative activities to automate capturing and collecting restaurant inventory data. They will assist with optimizing inventory levels and defining the replenishment strategy for new and existing nodes within Chick-fil-A’s Supply Chain. This role will be responsible for setting and maintaining inventory parameters, creating or enhancing replenishment logic and algorithms, minimizing product waste while ensuring high in-stock rates, and developing key performance indicators to measure adherence to inventory parameters and their impacts on restaurant and business objectives. This role will also be responsible for advising restaurants and Chick-fil-A Field Staff on in-Restaurant Inventory Management best practices.
This role will serve as the In-Restaurant Inventory Product Owner supporting the build and rollout of the new Supply Chain back-office system, Signal. As the Inventory Product Owner, this role will be responsible for developing product requirements to improve on-hand inventory accuracy and address waste in current state inventory processes in alignment with restaurant and business objectives. The Inventory Product Owner will work with a cross-functional team to prioritize the product requirement backlog, support the development process, test functionality, and plan releases to Signal restaurants.
Additionally, this role will directly oversee the day-to-day inventory performance of pilot location concepts within the Supply Chain – quickly root causing exceptions and executing any needed changes and parameter updates to ensure smooth operations. This role will work closely with multiple cross-functional stakeholders in Distribution Center Operations and Transportation to align inventory strategy with operational constraints.
This role is a part of the PLAN value chain within Chick-fil-A’s Supply Chain organization. PLAN sits at the beginning of the Supply Chain operational flow and is responsible for ensuring the creation, setup, and maintenance of all necessary inputs to enable proper product to flow to the restaurants. These include areas such as demand and supply planning, replenishment algorithms, channel management, limited time offering buys, and distribution center and restaurant inventory management.
