Education Requirements and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (G.E.D). Six months to one year of general experience.

Ability to pass a backgound and drug test.

Job Description:
Division: Reservation Services — Facility Management
Reports to: Steve Brown
Worbite: TCO Minneapolis
Work Hours: M-F, 8:00am — 4:30pm (varies)

License/Certification Requirements: Valid MN Driver's License, current insurance or be insurable

Summary: Responsible for performing labor, custodial, Grounds keeping, building and mechanical maintenance.

Duties and responsibilities:
Must practice safety precautions and be safety conscious at all times.
Performs grounds care, including but not limited to, mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, fertilizing, watering, reseeding, applying fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and sterilant; sweeping walks and drives; patching parking lots and drives; repairing signs, snow removal, spreading sand, salt or ice melt.
Operates, maintains power and non-powered grounds care equipment.
Performs custodial tasks, including but not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, waxing, mopping and polishing floors; washing, painting, ceilings, interior, exterior walls and siding; cleans windows and blinds; cleans bathrooms, showers and fixtures.
Responsible for restocking toilet paper, paper towels, soap dispensers and trash removal.
Operates and maintains all floor equipment.
Performs general labor tasks as assigned or as requested by other programs.
Transports trash and other debris to appropriate places and containers.
Performs maintenance and troubleshoots all building systems, utilizing Mechanical carpentry, plumbing & painting.
Participates in off-shift and weekend emergency maintenance coverage as needed.
Attend and or conduct all mandatory meetings and trainings as required.
Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
Travel in and out of the state on a possibly regular basis.
Understanding and sensitivity to Native American culture. Adhere to policies governing staff conduct.
