Job Description

This role will be based in Atlanta.

The work location of this role is on-site, meaning it will be performed in the specified office on a full-time basis due to the business needs of the team

The Sr. Sourcing Associate will support category managers across the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) organization. The associate will need to be proficient in sourcing tools and processes and have an in-depth understanding of our procurement policy. This role requires a solid understanding and ability to execute sourcing processes and practices with limited guidance for assigned sourcing requests.  

The Sr. Sourcing Associate role is responsible for managing sourcing activities, which include but are not limited to contract negotiations, supplier relationship management activities, data analytics, and relationship management for assigned categories. The Sr. Sourcing Associate will support the development of category plans and lead cross-functional projects under the direction and supervision of a category manager.    

This role requires general knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies related to various indirect sourcing categories to develop and support market analysis and lead sourcing events with limited supervision.  

Responsibilities:  

  • Solid understanding and ability to communicate sourcing processes and practices with limited guidance for assigned sourcing requests 

  • Draft and review contracts and gain hands on negotiation experience with supervision 

  • Develop supplier business review documents for assigned categories and lead supplier discussions 

  • Actively participate in cross-functional teams (inside and outside Global Strategic Sourcing as supported by leadership 

  • Provides financial and/or market insights and guidance that aids the business in making informed decisions about a supplier’s product and/or service  

  • Conducts detailed cost analysis, proficient in using analytical tools and software for sourcing activities and financial evaluation 

  • Support category managers with contract due diligence including, but not limited to supplier follow-up requests, onboarding activities, and partner team support 

  • Serve as a liaison between internal partner teams and managing ad hoc requests as directed by a category manager  

  • Conduct market research and identify key trends and provide insights to category teams as directed by manager  

  • Draft RF(x) documents with limited supervision from category manager for specified category  

  • Be a champion for change that can act decisively to drive decisions, while demonstrating agility to support the evolution of business needs 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Finance or related field  
  • 2+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or data analytics 
  • Experience with sourcing software and contracting tools (e.g. Coupa, Zip, Contract Lifecycle Management System (CLM) and Oracle) 

 
Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Experience in strategic sourcing within a specific industry (e.g. technology or consulting) 
  • Excellent communication, analytical, leadership and negotiating skills 
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools  
  • Collaborative and successful in internal & external relationship development 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

The pay range for this role is $84,000 to $137,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
