2 Fulltime H-2A Seasonal Jobs available 03/09/2024 - 11/21/2024 Operate trucks or other multipurpose vehicles to transport workers from housing, whether on or off farm, to the farm properties, haul tools, supplies, or crops, transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday, including on public roads to reach farmers fields and or transport workers to the grocery store, or bank on an as needed basis. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. Not all workers are requested to drive, drivers will be required to possess a valid operators license. No one will be rejected for the position that does not possess a class D license. Manually seed, plant, transplant, cultivate, irrigate, and harvest by hand and machine agricultural commodity including but not limited to onions, cilantro, herbs, hemp, forage crops, vegetables, and other produce. Duties include yard clean-up and maintenance, field preparation by tilling soil, applying fertilizers, applying spray, mulching, applying and removing plastic, field drainage, stripping and drying, transplanting, weeding, thinning and pruning in the fields and or greenhouses. May drive and operate farm trucks and tractors and drive for market delivery. Use hand tools including but not limited to clippers, hammer, shovels, and knives. Repair, maintain, clean, sanitize farm vehicles, tractors and implements and equipment, and buildings used in processing produce. Construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings. Construct and repair pallets, boxes and storage containers. Sort, dump, grade, clean and pack produce in farm building. Lift, move, and place pallets. Work requires standing, sitting, kneeling and lifting up to 75lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. While working in the field cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only. Employer may test for drugs and alcohol at their expense any time after hire, for the safety of themselves and others as they will be operating machinery. Due to health and safety concerns on our farm workers must understand basic instruction in English. Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of six months of verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in his order. Requirements: * 3 months verifiable experience required in the aforementioned. * Extensive sitting, repetitive movements, and extensive pushing/pulling. * Extensive walking and frequent stooping. * Lifting requirement of 75 lbs. * Exposure to extreme temperatures.
