PURPOSE/SCOPE:
The Human Resources Coordinator will be essential in supporting the NA Business Unit at our manufacturing facility in Golden Valley. This position will work on-site four days a week. Working autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team, this position plays a critical role in providing a great employee experience to new and existing team members by serving as a point of contact for general HR inquiries, handling a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks relating to HR policies, processes, procedures, and special projects. The ideal candidate's career path would grow into a Generalist position.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answer routine payroll, benefits, and employment inquiries with accurate, complete information.
Support HRIS system processes to include employee data changes, workflow processes, generating reports, and other data analytics
Facilitateleave of absence (LOA) processfor the HR team.
Provide a high level of onboarding support, including tracking and completing new hire paperwork and processing applicable sign-on bonuses.
Manage the temp-to-hire conversation, which includes partnering with talent acquisition to complete pre-employment background checks, processing required employment paperwork, and communicating progress to line supervisors
Oversee the I-9 verification and re-certification process.
Conduct in-person new employee orientation
Maintain HR personnel records ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Identify and coordinate improvements to HR administrative work processes for efficiency
Maintain confidentiality of the information and exercise good judgment and discretion
Collaborate with other HR Center of Excellence (COE) stakeholders to problem-solve employee issues
Manage sign-on bonus process in partnership with payroll.
Maintain and update plant communication boards and compliance requirements
Participate in annual HR processes such as benefits enrollment, talent review and performance appraisals, and other special projects as needed.
Develop strong working relationships at all levels, maintaining professionalism and integrity
Facilitate basic employee relations issues and escalate to HR leaders as necessary
Support the exit process by conducting exit interviews and communicating themes to HR Leaders
Process unemployment claims
Assist with creating internal employee communications, e.g., offer letters, wage adjustments
Assist in coordinating special events and ad hoc projects to contribute to a positive employee experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Degree in a related field and/or 1+ years experience in human resources; knowledge and understanding of current human resources laws and regulations
Prior talent acquisition experience required with high volume staffing preferred
Strong knowledge of HRIS databases, including Microsoft Office Suites software
SAP and SuccessFactors experience a plus
