Job Description

An Insight Global client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to join their team as the Interim Director of IT Operations. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual who can oversee the management and strategy of our IT infrastructure while ensuring seamless operations across various platforms and systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT leadership, with a deep understanding of current technology trends and the ability to implement innovative IT solutions that support organizational goals.



This interim position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of IT within Capitol Broadcasting and make a significant impact during a period of transformation.



Responsibilities

1. Staff Management and Leadership:

* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient functioning across various teams.

* Provide performance reviews, coaching, and mentorship to team members.

* Collaborate with the other department head to align efforts and achieve organizational objectives.

2. Strategic Assessment and Restructuring:

* Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the department's structure.

* Identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.

* Streamline processes, reassign job duties, and optimize resources.

3. Revamping the Department:

* Lead the transformation of our IT department.

* Innovate and leverage cutting-edge technology to change the department's culture.

* Set the vision for overarching positions and day-to-day leadership.

4. Web Presence and Technology Expertise:

* Drive our web presence, ensuring it reflects our forward-thinking approach.

* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

* Serve as an expert in tech applications and solutions.

5. Mentoring and Inspiring:

* Mentor team members, helping them grow professionally.

* Inspire boldness for change and foster a collaborative environment.

* Chart a path forward for individual and team development.

6. Budget Management:

* Manage the budget for department operations.

* Advocate for new technologies and submit requests for necessary resources.

* Coordinate with finance to ensure effective allocation of funds.

* Review and potentially renegotiate third party contracts, identifying cost saving opportunity and enhanced service quality.

Required Skills & Experience

* A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

* Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network management, and cybersecurity best practices.

* Excellent project management skills and experience leading large-scale IT projects.

* Exceptional communication skills, ability to inspire team members and engage with stakeholders at all levels.

* Experience in managing and negotiating third-party vendors and contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
