Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Stryker (aka Stryker System Maintainer, 91S) maintains the Stryker family of vehicles and keeps the vehicles and the operating systems running smoothly. Some of those vehicles include the M1128 Mobile gun system, the M1132 Engineer support vehicle, the M1133 Medical evacuation vehicle, and the M1135 NBC recon vehicle. Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
Performs field and sustainment level maintenance on various vehicle systems to include the suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, fire extinguisher/suppression systems and vehicular mounted armament.
Supervises and is accountable for the shop safety program, plus the use, maintenance & security of power tools.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions.
Performs damage assessment and repair.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years maintenance experience in Mechanical Maintenance or a combination of Mechanical Maintenance and General Technical
10+ years of experience in maintenance and repairs of engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to bring and use own tools
Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening
Ability to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation result and obtain a CAC
High School Diploma / GED
Valid Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications:
- U. S. Army MOS 91 series qualification or civilian equivalent
Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly Compensation: $33.07
In addition - this position offers the following:
Retention Bonus of $5,000 upon completion of 750 hours.
Referral Bonus of $1,000
Completion Bonus of $7,000 (Prorated, Performance Period: 5/1/2024 - 2/7/2025)
Relocation Assistant: must be 50 miles or greater distance.
Physical Demands:
Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.
