Job Summary: The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for specialized accounting procedures in accordance with acceptable accounting and the Health System’s practices and procedures. This role includes the functions of accounts payable and specified general ledger duties. The Accounting Assistant will also assist with clerical tasks involving payroll. This position will ensure that all accounting functions are performed in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school graduate plus two years’ additional schooling in accounting.
• Two to five years’ experience in accounts payable accounting practices and procedures.
• Experience may be considered in lieu of two years’ additional schooling in accounting.
• Computer data entry, Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
