Responsibilities:
  • Shall provide support of priority missions through the principle use of the army military decision making process (MDMP), the operations process and army design methodology (ADM) in accordance with (IAW) Unified Land Operations, army doctrine reference publication (ADRP) 3-0; unified land operations, Army Doctrine Publication (ADP) 3-0; the operations process, ADP 5-0; army tactics, techniques, and procedures No. 5-0.1 (ATTP 5-0.1); FM 6-0 commander and staff organization and operations; AR 25-50, preparing and managing correspondence; and unit standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Shall conduct analysis of and develop recommendations for the planning, preparation, and execution of operations and assess operations from initial concept or task until the mission or operation is complete for a specific event, phased operation, or recurring task, mission, or operation
  • Shall coordinate with operational planning teams (OPT) spanning higher echelons, multiple Army units, intelligence disciplines, and interagency partners to discuss the analysis and recommendations
  • Shall analyze and develop recommendations regarding planning, management, and updated requirements for requests for forces (RFF), exercises, exercise-support missions, technology protection operations, and long-range calendars. The Contractor shall evaluate initiatives and special projects, the group’s continuity of operations plan (COOP), and conferences or events
  • Shall develop recommendations to plan, manage, update, and execute support to special events to include special engagements, guest speakers, senior level briefings, and very important person (VIP) briefings
  • Shall provide analysis for systems integration for the modernization of the force
  • shall provide analysis of special projects, such as Town Halls, Commander’s Conferences, Off-sites, and transition plan
  • Shall provide recommendations to develop, maintain, update, and terminate associated standard of operating procedures/plans (SOPs) or other repositories of information (i.e. SharePoint and websites)
  • Shall provide products in the form of briefings, recommendations for plans/orders (i.e., concepts of operations (CONOPs), operational plans (OPLANs), warning orders (WARNOs), operations orders (OPORDs), fragmentary orders (FRAGOs), and annexes) and recommendations for other staff writing (i.e. memorandums for record, after action reports, white papers, and intelligence summaries) to decision makers

Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (presumed upon completion of conferring Joint Professional Military Education Level (JPME II)
  • Must have completed an intermediate-level professional military education (PME), including Army Command and General Staff College, Intermediate Level Education (Common Core and Advanced Operations Course/credentialing course), or Service equivalent, or a program of instruction conferring Joint Professional Military Education Level II (JPME II)
  • Must have a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Minimum of 15 years’ combined experience in the following fields:
    • Management (3 years or more)
    • Division or higher-level planner (3 years or more)
    • Intelligence (5 years or more)
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess the ability to clearly express oneself verbally
  • Must possess the ability to write in a clear, concise manner
  • Must be familiar with various Intelligence Community software/systems
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess the ability to work in a high-operational tempo environment
  • Must possess the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Must possess the ability to perform other duties, responsibilities and activities as needed
