Description

The Graphic Design Associate is a creative problem solver with an appreciation and passion for design with a strong emphasis in the digital and social space. We're looking for a designer who is deadline driven and a great team player. This person has a keen eye for detail, values collaboration, and can thrive in a culture of fun.
Full-time role, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm out of our Bloomington Office.
Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) is an independent healthcare organization that prides itself on being innovative and nimble to adapt quickly to an ever-changing healthcare environment. Alongside the Art Director and Creative Director, the Graphic Design Associate helps bring the needs of the business to life with strong visuals while following TCO's brand standards. This person will work closely on projects for TCO and the other brands we support such as Training HAUS, Revo Health, and i-Health.
The Graphic Design Associate is a member of our in-house creative team which continues to evolve to meet the business needs of today while helping identify the needs of tomorrow. The work produced by our team spans everyday business needs, to print and digital, as well as cross-platform campaigns. This role is for someone who is eager to always be learning, stays up to date on digital/social trends, and strives to always do their best work. They push for results while celebrating with fun.
Essential Functions:
Design Execution
Concept, design, and produce across all marketing communication including print, digital, social, experiential, and events.
Passion for digital and social media creative solutions
Execute multiple concepts under a singular vision, as directed by the Art Director or Creative Director
Strong understating of typography, layout, and design hierarchy
Assist in development of brand style guidelines
Assist in client meetings and presentations
Ability to produce deliverables that are professional, polished, visually appealing, and support best practices.
Present ideas effectively, both verbally and visually, to Art Director and Creative Director or other internal team members
Ability to take creative direction and feedback from others
Attention to Detail and Time Management
Work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Ability to stay under the over-arching creative strategy, while staying within brand guidelines.
Ability to work with small edit requests as well as larger projects while hitting deadlines.
Pre-flight design assets for external print vendors
Follow company creative and production processes
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving stills
Thrives tackling multiple projects at once

Education and Experience Requirements:
2+ years of experience
BFA, BA or BS in Graphic Design
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Portfolio showcasing creative work across multiple media types including print, digital,
and social.
MacBook proficient with strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
Knowledge of motion editing tools like After Effects is a plus
Understanding of consumer marketing, user journey, and email design is a plus
Experience with UX design is a plus
Self-starter and broad creative thinker
Strong organization, self-directing, and time management skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, yet open to feedback, guidance, and constructive criticism.
Willingness to be flexible with tasks on a day-to-day basis and evolve role as required by the needs of the team
Embraces technology and actively remains up to date on current and upcoming trends
Team player who enjoys working with others and participating in company events
Work cohesively and collaboratively in a team environment

Essential Requirements
Ability to:

Work in the office, clinic or surgery center, as needed, during business hours
Travel independently throughout the clinic, office or surgery center (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required
Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately and meet deadlines
Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner
Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations
Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Understand and execute a variety of instructions
Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system
Work independently with minimal supervision
